About Sea Forward Ocean Health Fund
The Sea Forward Ocean Health Fund (SFOH) provides CataCap donor accounts with the opportunity buy into a portfolio of impact funds by contributing tax-deductible dollars into a collaborative, multi-donor advised fund. This fund invests in private funds and companies focused on ocean health and sustainability. SFOH’s mission is to back innovative, effective solutions across areas such as sustainable aquaculture, science-based monitoring tools, biodiversity, climate resilience, and regenerative nature-based solutions.
SFOH will direct capital toward a diversified portfolio of 8+ high-impact investment funds—including Katapult, Propeller, Aqua-Spark, the Global Fund for Coral Reefs, Hatch Blue Revolution Fund, Circulate Ocean Latin America, Blue Action Lab, and Superorganism—with additional funds to be added over time. Each donor account participates in a pro rata share of the full portfolio, ensuring broad exposure and impact.
Investments are sourced and recommended by a network of investors and thought leaders with deep expertise in ocean policy, research, philanthropy, investing, and entrepreneurship. Education is a core part of SFOH’s approach: we are building a learning community to engage around the most pressing ocean issues and foster the collaboration needed to accelerate meaningful change.
Note: Any capital returned remains charitable in the donor's CataCap account and may support future impact. All SFOH-related fees are covered by CataCap’s administrative fees.
