About Biotic Ferments
Working at the intersection of human health and regenerative agriculture, Biotic Ferments is a Certified B Corp whose mission is to regenerate living systems starting with the human microbiome. Supporting the health of the human microbiome is one of the most powerful ways to increase human flourishing – it directly impacts every other major system in the body including the healthy function of the brain, immune system, metabolism, hormone regulation, and the cardiovascular system.
Americans are suffering silently:
• 60% of Americans suffer from GI imbalance at least once per week (National Institute of Health)
• 40% of Americans’ daily lives are disrupted by digestive troubles. (American Gastroenterological Association)
• These issues are commonly caused by diet and can be addressed by diet.
Fermented foods and beverages offer a powerful solution:
A 2021 study by Standford Medical researchers found that adding fermented foods to a Standard American Diet for just 10 weeks significantly increased microbiome diversity (leading metric of health) and decreased 20 inflammatory biomarkers (leading predictor of chronic disease) in all study participants.
Combining time-honored fermentation practices with advances in gut health science, Biotic Kvass (kuh-vass) is specifically formulated to feed the microbiome with prebiotics, probiotics and postbiotics from organic whole-food sources and science-backed cultures.
Strong regional and regenerative souring:
• 100% Certified Organic
• 85% of ingredients by weight grown in California
• Largest inputs (carrots, beets and citrus) from regenerative or upcycled sources
• 100% of “food waste” byproducts nourish local regenerative grazing
• Manufacturing powered by 100% renewable energy and carbon-neutral water

Ode to Wildflowers Investment
A wildflower (or wild flower) is a flower that grows in the wild, rather than being intentionally seeded or planted. The term implies that the plant is neither a hybrid nor a selected cultivar that is any different from the native plant, even if it is growing where it would not naturally be found. The term can refer to the whole plant, even when not in bloom, and not just the flower.[1]"Wildflower" is an imprecise term. More exact terms include:native species naturally occurring in the area (see flora)exotic or introduced species not native to the area, includinginvasive species that out-compete other plants, whether native or notimported (introduced to an area whether deliberately or accidentally)naturalized (imported, but come to be considered by the public as native)In the United Kingdom, the organization Plantlife International instituted the "County Flowers scheme" in 2002; see County flowers of the United Kingdom for which members of the public nominated and voted for a wildflower emblem for their county. The aim was to spread awareness of the heritage of native species and about the need for conservation, as some of these species are endangered. For example, Somerset has adopted the cheddar pink (Dianthus gratianopolitanus), London the rosebay willowherb (Chamerion angustifolium) and Denbighshire/Sir Ddinbych in Wales the rare limestone woundwort (Stachys alpina).

Empower Her Fund II
Empower Her Fund II is the next bold chapter in a growing movement to reshape who gets funded—and what gets built. Our mission is clear: catalyze capital for women-led ventures solving real problems, unlocking new markets, and delivering lasting impact. We believe some of the most promising returns—financial and social—come from backing overlooked founders with deep insight and grit. In 2023, Lily Kanter and Beth Stelluto launched the Empower Her Founders Fund as a proof of concept as a group on the Cata Cap platform. With 42 investors and more than 30 voting members (contributing more than $10,000), we backed seven high-social or environmental impact, women-led companies across health, fintech, climate, and consumer innovation. That early portfolio is already showing traction and proved the demand for a values-aligned investor community with real capital to deploy. Fund II is what’s next. This second fund expands our ambition—a broader network of leaders bringing new members to create a larger community of investors and more capital – all to deliver larger checks, deeper founder support, and a more diversified portfolio. We will continue to be laser-focused on women-led social and environmental impact ventures at early, catalytic stages. It’s a direct response to an urgent truth: only ~2% of angel and venture dollars go to women-led startups. We’re here to change that—with intentional capital and a growing coalition. Our aim is to be patient capital giving founders the breathing room they need to scale these important companies focused on making the world better. As with many early-stage companies, the investment horizon can be long – 10 years or more. Of course some may be acquired earlier than 10 years. A Catalytic Matching OpportunityOnce, $265,000 is raised for Fund II, Lily Kanter has committed to match with $265,000 raised for Fund II—doubling every dollar invested and unlocking $530,000 in catalytic capital for women-led ventures. This is a moment to accelerate momentum and expand our impact together. A Community with a Real VoiceWe encourage commitments of $10,000 and above. At this level, members become voting participants—joining founder pitch sessions, sitting in on investment conversations, and helping shape how capital is allocated. Voting members can also recommend ventures for the community to consider. This isn’t passive investing. It’s participatory capital.
